Swim Faster with Training from Me, James Guy MBE
Train with me and my team and experience Olympic-style coaching, gaining access to the methods, sessions and performance insights that helped me compete and win at the highest level of the sport.
Inside the James Guy Academy, you’ll get exclusive access to training and knowledge that has never been publicly released, covering technique, race preparation, pacing, mindset, recovery, parent & guardian support, and the small details that can make the difference between simply taking part and competing to win.
This is more than just swim advice. It’s Olympic-level insight, coaching and support, built from over 15 years of competing on the world stage and designed to help swimmers and their families understand what it takes to progress, perform and succeed.
You Have The Commitment and The Skill!
You're Just lacking the Insights.
Most competitive swimmers plateau not because they stop working hard, but because club training even at a high level can only take you so far.
The technical depth, the race intelligence, the performance psychology that separates county swimmers from national swimmers from international competitors… that knowledge lives behind closed doors.
Unless you're on a national programme, it's almost impossible to access.
Your Times Have Plateaued
You're training as much as ever but the improvements have stalled. You're not sure what to change because nothing in your current coaching structure can identify the real problem.
You're Missing Technical Feedback
Your club coach watches 20 swimmers at once. You get feedback in passing, not the frame-by-frame technical analysis that actually changes things.
Race day doesn't reflect your training
You perform well in the pool but something goes wrong in competition. The mental side of racing; how to build a plan, manage pressure, execute under lights etc, has never been properly coached.
You're training without elite context
You know what Olympic swimmers look like from the outside but you have no idea what they actually do, think, and focus on in training. That gap in context is costing you time.
you just can't reach The next Level
You're committed. You're talented. You want more. But the pathway from where you are to where you want to be has never been clearly laid out for you.

What's inside for competitive swimmers?
Five areas of coaching. One programme. Everything your club training is missing.
-
Module 1: Stroke mechanics and technique. A frame-by-frame breakdown of the strokes, including the catch, pull, kick timing, body position, and small technical adjustments that create the biggest time improvements. This is the level of detail that comes only from 20 years at the top of the sport.
-
Module 2: Starts, turns, and underwater phases. These are the sections of a race that many swimmers leave unoptimized. I'm going to coach every element of race margins: the places where considerable time can be gained or lost before you have even taken a stroke.
-
Module 3: Race strategy and competition execution. Learn how to build a race plan,
execute it under pressure, understand what James thinks about during a race, and develop the same competition intelligence across your own events at any level.
-
Module 4: Training structure and periodisation. Learn how elite swimmers structure their week, manage training loads, and peak for competition. Understand the “why” behind the programme, so you can make better decisions about your own training alongside your club sessions.
-
Module 5: Live weekly Q&A with me (featured). I host a live session inside the Academy community. Ask me about your technique, your training, or your next competition. Get real coaching, in real time, from a triple Olympic Gold medallist.
What changes when you join the Academy?
-
You understand your technique at a level most swimmers never reach. The Academy's coaching goes deeper than anything available in club training. You will know exactly what is happening in your stroke and exactly what to change. We are not taking anything away from your coach; we’re adding to it.
-
Your race-day performance reflects your training. The race strategy and psychology modules are specifically designed to help you close the gap between what you do in training and what you deliver in competition.
-
You train with context and intention, rather than just swimming up and down with no meaning behind it. Understanding the elite framework behind your training changes how you approach every session.
-
You have direct access to a triple Olympic champion every week. No other online coaching programme gives you a live Q&A with a three-time Olympic gold medallist. This alone is worth the membership.
-
You become part of a community of serious swimmers. The Academy is not social media; it is a focused, high-standards environment where competitive swimmers hold each other accountable, with Me at the centre and one clear goal: to make you faster

James Guy MBE was crowned Aquatics GB Champion Athlete for 2025 as a memorable season of aquatics achievements was celebrated at The Aquatics GB Awards in Newport Nov 25

The 30-year-old has won three Olympic gold medals as well as three silvers having topped the podium twice in Tokyo in the 4x200m freestyle and 4x100m mixed medley and once in Paris – defending the 4x200m freestyle crown alongside Duncan Scott, Tom Dean, and Matt Richards. Guy won his first Commonwealth Games gold medal in Glasgow back in 2014 in the 4x100m medley, kickstarting a career which has also seen him become a six-time world champion.

As a youngster, James Guy MBE was inspired by the magnificent achievements of the legendary Michael Phelps. Now he has told Team England’s Commonwealth Games rookies his philosophy to becoming a champion – having swum faster than his hero in Rio.

After two silver medals in the relay events at the Rio Olympics, James Guy says that to be part of the Olympic team for the second time is ‘something truly special’.
